Ukrainian strongman Alexey Novikov became the winner of the Rogue Invitational Strongman Competition 2022 tournament, held in the United States

Bullet shooting
Nine medals were won by Ukrainians at the world bullet Shooting Championship, which ended in Cairo (Egypt). Pavel Korostylev and Sergey Kulish won two Olympic licenses for Ukraine for the 2024 Paris Games. In the medal standings, Ukraine took the sixth place — this is the second best result of our team in the entire history of performances at the world bullet Shooting Championships.
🏋 Weightlifting
35 medals (12, 14, 9) – the result of the performance of Ukrainian weightlifters at the European Championships among juniors under 20 and youth under 23 in Durres, Albania. The Ukrainian women’s U-23 team took first place in the medal standings and third in the team competition. The women’s junior national team of Ukraine won the second place in the team competition and the fourth in the medal competition.
Judo
Four medals in the individual championship were won by Ukrainian judoists at the European U-23 Championship in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Silver medal: Ruslana Bulavina (over 78 kg); Marat Kryzhansky (90 kg).
Bronze: Anastasia Chizhevskaya (57 kg); Natalia Chistyakova (70 kg).
🏊 Swimming
Mikhail Romanchuk won the 10-kilometer world final of Oceanman world, a prestigious open water swimming tournament held on the Greek island of Crete. The Ukrainian swimmer finished with a time of 1 hour 35 minutes 33.301 seconds, just 0.120 seconds ahead of Florian Wellbrok from Germany.
Rhythmic gymnastics
Ukrainian gymnasts and artists won three medals at the Aeon Cup 2022 Club World Championship in Tokyo (Japan):
“Gold”: Taisiya Onofriychuk (Junior Women, individual all-around). According to the results of the competition, the Ukrainian showed the best scores in three of the four exercises (ball, clubs and ribbon).
“Silver”: Victoria Onoprienko (senorki, individual all-around), Deryugin school (team competitions).
Professional boxing
Vasyl Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in the heavyweight 12-round lightweight bout. By unanimous decision, the judges gave the victory to the Ukrainian — 115-113, 116-112, 117-111. for 34-year-old Vasyl Lomachenko, the fight in New York (USA) was the first in the last 11 months and the 17th victorious in his professional career.
Karate
Five bronze medals were won by Ukrainian karate players at the world championships among cadets, juniors and youth, which ended in Konya, Turkey.
Bronze medal: Anna Vashchishin (Kumite cadets, up to 47 kg); Daria Bulai (Kumite cadets, over 54 kg); Polina Marchenko (Kumite juniors, up to 48 kg); Nazari Prannichuk (Kumite cadets, up to 57 kg); Nikita Filipov (U-21 Kumite, up to 60 kg).
Jiu-jitsu
Valeria Neshkova (63 kg) won gold, and Daniil Belozerov (60 kg) became the silver medalist of the world jiu-jitsu Championship among adults, youth, juniors and cadets, which continues in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
Underwater sports
The final of the World Cup in swimming in Fins ended with the victory of the Ukrainian national team in the overall standings. Our athletes won 29 medals (11 , 9 , 9 ) the competition was held in Poznan, Poland.
Futsal
NFC Uragan from Ivano-Frankivsk qualified for the 1/8 finals of the main round of the 2022/2023 UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Sports dances
11 medals (7 , 2 , 2 ) were won by athletes of the Ukrainian national team at the world championships (adults, Pro-Am, professionals, youth, juniors, juveniles, formation, Latin American, European, 10 dances) in the Polish city of Bialka-Tatsanska:
“Gold”: Vladimir Kuzmin, Bozhena Turchina( adults, European program); Maxim Bigus, Alexandra Putilina (adults, Latin American program); Evgeny Lotorev, Natalia Plastovets (Pro-Am, Latin American program); Albert Mikulin, Alexandra Zelenova (Youth, Latin American program); Evgeny Borushko (adults, solo, men, Latin American program); Zhanna Kravchenko (youth, solo, Girls, Latin American Program); Team “diamond” (formation, European and Latin American program).
Silver medal: Yaroslav Radzikhovsky, Lesya Rymarchuk (professionals, European program, 10 dances / adults 10 dances); Vladislav Radchenko, Polina Krupitskaya (Youth, Latin American program).
“Bronze”: Mikhail Vasilikov, Sofia Khvostova (adults, Latin American program); Bogdan Zakharchuk, Anastasia Strukova (Youth, Latin American program).
Universal battle
The national team of Ukraine took the first team place at the World Cup among boys and girls (10-11 years old), young men and girls (12-13 years old), middle-aged and older boys and girls (14-15, 16-17 years old), juniors and juniors (18-20 years old), men and women in Antalya, Turkey. Our athletes won 51 medals (20, 19, 12).
Wheelchair dancing
The National Wheelchair Dance Team of Ukraine finished in first place at the European Championship in Prague (Czech Republic). Our Paralympians won 12 medals (8 , 4 ).
Bowling alley
The National deflympic bowling team won 7 medals (2, 1, 4) at the 2021 summer Deflympics in Malaysia. Our national team took the second overall place. At the 2021 Deflympics, which was held in the spring in the city of Caxias do Sula (Brazil), the Organizing Committee of the competition did not provide for a competitive bowling area, so the competition was postponed for six months.
